Do you have recips that you need synched and transferred? B&B Cattle Company’s Recip Management Program takes the labor and time out of synchronizing your recips cows. We take your recip cows & synchronize them for you according to your schedule. We check heat three (3) times per day, providing your embryologist a detailed and accurate report of all activity related to their heat cycle. We also use the embryologist and/or repro company of your choosing. The cattle are ultrasounded at 30 days post-transfer, and again at 60 days. At that time, all pregnant recips are typically shipped home. Any open cattle can be re-synchronized again. For best results, most recips are delivered a minimum of 30 days before synchronization to allow for less stress. Creep feed is kept out for the recips pairs to ensure the current set of embryo calves reach their maximum growth potential. Also, to ensure the best results, we do not vaccinate these cattle if they arrive within six (6) weeks of transferring embryos. If time is allowed, all vaccinations are given to each animal. We require these cattle to be vaccinated and wormed before arrival if there is not enough time before transfer to ensure the health of the other cattle on the premises.
Do you like pulling your bulls after the breeding season? Are you short on space needed for your bulls? Our mature bull reconditioning program is another popular program offered. This program allows producers to pull their bulls annually, to allow them to regain their strength and energy for the next breeding season. These bulls are placed in traps, each equipped with shade, water, hay and feed. The bulls are weighed and vaccinated upon arrival. They are then placed on feed until the producer is ready for them to return. When you are ready for the return of your mature bull, simply notify us within two (2) weeks of pick-up. We will revaccinate your bull and have a full Breeding Soundness Exam performed, as well as a Trichomoniasis test. This program allows producers to pull their bulls and not have to sacrifice more land to keep a few bulls separate from the herd during this short period.
Do you have cattle that you would like to enter in a sale, but do not have time or space to feed and condition them? The Sale Cattle Conditioning Program allows producers to enter cattle in sales throughout the year. This program assists by properly conditioning cattle for each sale, without producers having to tie up more land and time for a few head. Bulls, cows, and/or calves are all eligible to participate. The cattle will need to arrive a minimum of 100 days before the sale, to ensure proper time is allowed to condition the animal properly. Cattle that may not be as conditioned as others may need more days. This is a full turnkey program. We can haul the animals and care for them during the time at the sale. We also take care of all the health requirements for each animal, as well as clipping and other pre-sale requirements.
